Introducing the Modern Basics Blue Sustainable Collection from Weinor – Exclusive to Blinds by Peter Meyer
Modern Basics Blue is the first Awning fabric collection to be made out of 85% Recycled PET.
When the sun starts to shine in spring and throughout summer, people migrate to their precious outdoor spaces. Reliable sun and UV protection is an important factor for enjoying this space fully. If you attach importance to sustainability, you will be pleased to know that there are now also awning fabrics produced in a resource-conserving process.
The modern basics blue sustainable collection from weinor, the manufacturer of high-quality awnings, patio roofs and straight drop awnings, impresses in terms of its environmental balance with recycled fabrics.
This is down to 85% recycled PET, around 60% energy and 45 % carbon emission savings in the weaving process.
The spinneret dyeing used also consumes around 90 percent less water than conventional dyeing methods.
Blinds by Peter Meyer is an exclusive distributor of Weinor products in Australia and we are now offering the new, sustainable collection in our range.

Attractive patterns and trendy colours
“The new awning fabrics not only impress with their sustainability, but impress just as much with their contemporary look”, reports Simon Meyer – managing director at Blinds by Peter Meyer.
The 16 patterns in the new collection include modern plain fabrics in subtle shades of grey and sand, plus grey block stripes with coloured accents and modern interpretations of creative stripes in bright sunshine colours. This makes them particularly ideal for lovers of trendy modern day outdoor living.
Durable quality and reliable UV protection
The modern fabric range is an extremely resistant woven fabric developed especially for outdoor use. The fabric in question is Tempotest Starlight blue, an innovative sun protection fabric certified according to the internationally recognised Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
A high-quality protective finish ensures that dirt cannot stick to it and the fabric stays as beautiful as on day one.
Certification according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 also proves that the material has been tested against harmful substances and is harmlessto health.
The UPF 50+ high sun protection factor indicates that 98% of UV radiation is blocked.
“So you can enjoy your time under the sustainable awning fabric with an all-round good feeling,” promises Simon Meyer -managing director from Blinds by Peter Meyer, “it’s great that the fabrics can be used for almost all weinor awnings.”
